Uncle Baby
It was good to see friends and hang out with fun people including Nick, Isa and their little one Zavyer. He's totally adorable.
Anyhow she brought him over to say hi and she was like look it's Uncle Babe. Nick chimes in and says Uncle Lusty or Uncle Babe and eventually it led to Uncle Baby. I guess it's a combination of Lusty and Baby.
Now they're adamant at making sure that I'll be Uncle Baby.
For those who are Filipino who have a Tita Baby - I have a Ninang Baby - imagine a family party and someone yelling out Uncle Baby. I could see all the confused faces from the parentals.
All in all it's funny but not sure if I want to be called Uncle Baby. Sorry Isa and Nick.

Ilocano
For those of you who don't know Ilocano. It is one of the many dialects in the Philippines. Ilocano is mainly spoken in the Northern Part of the Philippines.
Anyhow we have been speaking in Ilocano and I posted a couple songs on her facebook. It was pretty funny. Here are a couple of traditional Ilocano songs.
Well after that I posted one calle Tarong which means eggplant. Ummmm....they weren't really talking about tarongs. Think nasty y'all.
Here's the song. I dedicate all these videos to you Manang Melissa.

iConnect
Tonight I went to a hip hop dance show put on by Culture Shock Los Angeles entitled iConnect at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex. I've actually performed in this venue when I danced with Kayamanan ng Lahi years ago.
The pre-show consisted of different groups. First they had students from classes that Culture Shock teaches at local schools. Then they had Kaba Modern Legacy, Fanny Pak, and Futureshock. All those teams killed it.
I really enjoyed the show and can't wait to see what they have in store for September. The show's premise was mainly how communication affects our lives. The dancing was great but the best part I thought was the spoken word portion that immediately followed intermission.
Overall, great show. Congratulations to Culture Shock Los Angeles. The picture above is with my cousin Jeanne, her friend Nicholas and several of the members of Fanny Pak.

Fall Running
With yesterday's festivities and how much I ate it's probably time for me to start running again. I've already started getting back into my weights routine - it's now time to get back into running.
Knowing me I can't just run and have no goal of not doing a race thus I have decided these are the races I will be aiming to do:
As you can see I have decided not to do any full marathons this year. Maybe in 2010. I might be adding smaller races to this as well as maybe one more half marathon. This can change based on my training. Come join me on a run.
Maybe
I actually really like the song. It kind of has that groove, chill . . . Jon B feel. Enjoy!

Eggs
Also here's a text I got from my friend Amy who's also a teacher.
What did the Easter Egg say to the boiling water?
It's going to take me a while to get hard. I just got laid by some chick!

Mark & Lizzy
Lizzy - Welcome to the Carson Family. C-House! Holla!
Jeez
Anyhow, we're having lunch and I spilled some soda on my hand. I continued to have lunch but my hand was getting sticky so I excused myself to go to the bathroom. A lady was in front of me and I guess she needed to use the bathroom. She peered into the Men's Bathroom, exhaled and said Jeez!
I guess she didn't realized she was looking into the Men's Bathroom. As she stormed off she let out a couple of farts.
I started laughing and couldn't tell her that she looked into the Men's Bathroom. With all that farting she must've really needed to drop the deuce. hahahaha!!!
