Fall Running

After completing the marathon in Las Vegas I figured to continue running so I can do the Pasadena Half Marathon. Well things happened - injury, illness and wasn't able to. I also forgoed doing the San Diego Rock n Roll Full Marathon.

With yesterday's festivities and how much I ate it's probably time for me to start running again. I've already started getting back into my weights routine - it's now time to get back into running.

Knowing me I can't just run and have no goal of not doing a race thus I have decided these are the races I will be aiming to do:

Disneyland Half Marathon - Sunday, September 6th
Long Beach Half Marathon - Sunday, October 11th
Rock n Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon - Sunday, December 6th

As you can see I have decided not to do any full marathons this year. Maybe in 2010. I might be adding smaller races to this as well as maybe one more half marathon. This can change based on my training. Come join me on a run.

Madness

March Madness is upon us. Surprised that I know. What's even more surprising is that I did the pool at work. Even more surprising than that is that I'm currently tied for 4th with a bunch of people. Kind of funny especially if you know me. How the hell did I do that? Oh well. Good luck on your pools if you did one and if not back to your normal lives. Have a good weekend y'all.

The Deed is Done

Boy, am I glad it's over. I completed the Las Vegas Marathon yesterday in 5:48:44

Not exactly the time I was hoping for but hey I finished and besides it knocked off 45 minutes from my last marathon.

We had perfect conditions but I just pooped out at mile 20. My body couldn't run any more so I walked the last 6 miles. In addition I had a slight cold.

Third marathon complete. Could there be a fourth? Maybe - the Rock n Roll Marathon San Diego in June.

The Greatest

We have now completed one week of the Olympics with one one more week to go. Many of you just as I was have been glued to the TV watching the different sports. Of course the most watched is swimming dominating the coverage. Why? To see if Michael Phelps can set a record of getting 8 gold medals. He did it. Congratulations to him and to all of the Americans who competed this week.

P.S. Why wasn't tennis as heavily televised? Dangit. For those of you who know me - I'm a Tennis junkie. Oh well. Special shout out to Venus & Serena for winning Gold in the women's doubles and the Bryan Bros. for winning Bronze.
